In a team setting, we were responsible for selecting a dataset to analyze in MySQL and present the findings to our class. We selected Forbes Top 1000 Global Companies from 2017-2021, to analyze trends in the top companies over the last 5 years, with a focus on the impact from Covid-19.

 

In order to analyze the data accurately, we cleaned the data set by transforming values into consistent formatting across the years. We updated the tables by utilizing cast, trim, and where functions to convert data types, remove unnecessary data, and identify which rows to update.
